Well... that's that then.

Held my thesis defense today. It went ... well. Sort of.
I didn't prepare enough, but rather did it all rather improvised. I think the level of presenation was extremely uneven. Oh well.

The worst thing that happened, though, was the following.

add simplex a*b*c a*b*d a*c*d b*c*d

And this is, I hope, a rather standard simplicial sphere

0? WTF? OMG! Eeeeehm uuuuuuuhm errrrrrrr. No. It shouldn't do that. Should it? Eeeeeeh. No... ANOTHER example!

And now, I cannot even reproduce it. It seems to be working fine - EXCEPT for when I try to show it off. Ring familiar, anyone?

Oops, well, something is always bound to go wrong at a presentation. *hugs*. It sounds like most of it went very well though. Congratulations. =)

*cheers*

Yay for you! Are you relieved to have it done with?

That sounds like a very typical intermittent problem there, Michi.

Big hugs, and a smooch (it's a special occasion, innit?),
Me.
