Bizarre and nice things
Oct. 25th, 2008 11:46 pmPumpkin Hackin' at Noisebridge. The dark-activated circuit I tried to design didn't work very well. Or for that matter at all. Which kinda sucks. One of the soldered mounts never shut off the LEDs, and the other never turned them on.
However, the Fry's kit with the noise-activated flashing LEDs turned out AWESOME. ESPECIALLY when embedded (after using a dremel on it) in a really small mini-pumpkin. It's really spooky sitting there, with a lopsided cut grin and a pair of evil eyes softly blinking along with whatever sounds are around it.
Also, we ended up doing two pumpkin pies. VERY spicy, but really good.
When I got home, though, I was met with the most bizarre sight in quite a while. It made me wonder whether someone had enrolled me in an ARG too.
Wedged into my door were two photos of a happy young man and a happy young woman very obviously in love with each other.
And on the doorstep was a box of very expensive chocolate.
