silmaril. I skip pure meme entries, but given that pick the first sentence in the first post of every month, and string them together.
A LOT of the past year was spent blogging while traveling. Go figure.

I'm in San Diego. So .... this spammer is offering me a computational cluster; say 16 nodes, each a 64-bit processor and carrying some 16 gig RAM; and a 3d-printer? And we're all STILL ALIVE! US trip so far - in general - REALLY good. I just got phishing email.
Next week was packed as it was. The slacktivist series on Left Behind often talks about how "Show, don't tell" is a good adage of writing that the authors of Left Behind tend not to follow. The TV station MDR, part of the national TV station ARD, want to do a spot about the Junior Mathematical Congress. With about an hour left to liftoff, I'm now through security and passport controls and sit in a reasonably comfortable airport chair waiting for boarding. So any sheaf is a presheaf.
I got everything I could have wanted so far. Wasn't the whole point of All the king's men that Willie Stark ran on a "For the people and against all this d*** corruption" platform, and then became incredibly corrupt himself?
