Woke up today to the feeling of my left calf cramping. When I say cramping, I really mean that a portion - not all - of the calf muscle was contracting so much that I could see a ridge forming, and doing me a LOT of pain.
I managed - somehow, I still don't know just how - to get it to stop cramping, and now I'm sitting here - hobbling if ever I stand up, since the cramp pains return as soon as that leg gets part of the load - and wondering what to do about it.
Update: Got driven to my doctor. Sat around waiting for quite a while, then had a 5-minute chat with the doctor. "So what happened?" *description* "Right. So just a normal calf cramp? Fine. Eat Magnesium and don't walk funny - even if walking normal hurts. You'll only hurt the other leg too otherwise. Bye!"
