Swedish elections: Early summary
Sep. 17th, 2006 11:02 pm* The liberal/conservative bloc takes over.
* Göran Persson will resign his leadership of the social democratic party in addition to losing the prime ministry.
* The non-parliamentary parties doubled compared to the previous election. This heading involves the pirate party, the nationalists, the feminist party, the party for retirees, and the EU-protesters. Unclear on distribution, however it is very probable that a substantial slice of the 5.7% in this bloc belongs to the nationalists.
My greatest worries right now is what'll happen to integrity and to education with the new bloc - the liberal party has some not very good views on education; and nobody in swedish politics understands privacy issues in modern technology.
