Side effects of the TPB raid
Jun. 12th, 2006 04:57 pmI wonder whether this was what Roswall wanted to accomplish with the outrageous raid last week. Read it. And if you don't, at least read this excerpt:
She is a very close friend of mine. I have been very worried this last time - she's dropped completely off the net at times. And she definitely has my vote in the upcoming elections, if her resolve to run for parliament actually gets her on the ballot.
Since the raid, I’ve had trouble sleeping and I’ve had to call in sick from my work since I’ve been too stressed out. I’ve been at home three or four times and I’ve never spent an entire night at home. I tried a couple of times, but I couldn’t relax and had to take a cab to a friend instead. For the past few nights, I’ve simply stayed at my ex’ place, simply because I no longer feel safe at my very own home.
I was one of those who were raided by the 50 policemen that were assigned to this raid. Not because I had committed a horrible crime, but simply because I had dated a guy that was running a bittorrent tracker website. Had the guy been a murderer, rapist or druglord, I would’ve gladly done anything I could to help the police, but this guy didn’t even do anything like that. He simply ran a website with a bittorrent tracker, something that as far as I know isn’t even illegal under Swedish law.
