Grad student goodies
Apr. 10th, 2004 12:10 amI've just realized that I need to plunge into a veritable application frenzy these days.
The applications I have recently done:
* Doctorate in mathematics @ Stockholm University
* Grants for going to Turin in september to learn about computational algebra for algebraic geometry
* Grants for being able to afford to arrange this summers two conferences
The application I've realized I need to do with deadline april 13:
* Honours doctorate in mathematics @ KTH
The application I've realized I need to do with deadline april 30:
* Doctorate in mathematics @ KTH
The articles I need to write with deadline april 30:
* Description of young mathematics in sweden for the Stockholm Intelligencer (Springer Verlag magazine for conference visitors)
* Article to the member magazine for the Swedish young scientist association recruiting to the junior congress
Oh, and in addition to all this, all the doctorate applications (deadlines april 13, april 15 and april 30) want to see samples of my master's thesis. My master's thesis currently consists of a workable piece of programming code - and basically no written text at all. I may feel the need to work a few allnighters getting a text together - at least until the 15th...
And all this in addition to the current course in representation theory, and last terms course in commutative algebra and the actual work with the conference arrangements and ....
But at least it's fun! :)
