I fantasized about having such houses built for myself when I'm old, rich, and eccentric. I would make sure we'd have facilities to house weekly seminars on interesting topics - complete with blackboards (which is, as all mathematicians know, all you need to perform an interesting seminar). My fiancee responded by entering the really dangerous ground of arguing against the use of blackboards.
